Radio redux, and hold the babies, please.

I’m back in the swing of clinical placement — the glamour of the book tour receding ever more quickly. Of course, there’s still loads of publicity to be done: for instance, it’s important that I check my amazon.com ranking at least once a day. Otherwise–well, I don’t even want to think what could happen.

Seriously though (well, okay, I was serious, but still) –tomorrow morning I’ve got some terrific radio and podcast action afoot. Tune in to http://www.singlewomenrule.com/ at 11am EST. I’ll be there, apparently discussing, ummm, why single women rule. As well as Sima, of course. At 12:20 I’ll be on the Frankie Boyer show, WBIX 1060am out of Boston.  Then at 1pm it’s Liz Talk (how much better does that sound than “Ilana talk?” Ooh–Tillie could do it: Tillie Talk. Remind me to suggest that to her in a few decades) at 1340 AM out of Atlanta. (That’s the same station that carries Rush Limbaugh in Atlanta. Which, bizarrely, makes me feel important.)

Which is all to say: fingers crossed for no babies born tonight or tomorrow morning.

Sheesh. This student-midwife/novelist thing is getting old, isn’t it?  I know, I know, I’m a broken record. But the balancing is so bizarre (planning the radio shows this morning with our NYC radio-tour-guide while cleaning up after a lovely home birth), sometimes I just have to share.

(And because I know you’re thinking: Home birth? Clean-up? Let me assure you: one bag of garbage and one load of laundry. Easy-peasy, and safe too. I digress, but you can read more about it here and here and here.)
